The Trail du Besso takes very technical routes with vertiginous passages (10m of light climbing).

This trail starts from Zinal (1674m) and takes us to the top of Sorebois via the Tsirouc point, to the first refreshment station at the Col de Sorebois (2836m). We then go up the ridge to the top of the Garde de Bordon, the highest point of the route (3309m).

From the summit we dive on the Moiry valley with a stop at the Châteaupré checkpoint (2352m) then we go up the Moiry glacier by the West ridge and we cross it to reach the Moiry hut (2825m) 2nd supply point.

Climb towards the Pigne de la Lé pass (3137m) and the big plunge to the Petit Mountet hut (2139m), the 3rd refreshment station/checkpoint. Climb up the Zinal glacier to the Grand Mountet hut (2886m) and a well deserved 4th food stop…Descent by the main path to the Arpitettaz bridge (1910m) last checkpoint. From there a nice climb to the Arpitettaz hut (2786m), 5th feeding station, then the Milon pass (2975m) and a last effort to face the scree leading at the hut of Tracuit (3259m) last supply. The final descent from -1600m brings us back to Zinal.
